So a million years ago (that means November) I went to the launch of SuperDry beauty (I have no idea how I even got invited but I went along out of curiosity) and basically life has just been too complicated to blog about much of anything until now (I’m trying to start blogging regularly but it’s tough!).
This picture is an example of the SuperDry Eye Collection, it contains an eyeshadow duo, black mascara and black eyeliner.
It’s strange, when I went to the launch these eyeshadow flippy open things in a circular shape felt so familiar but now we are in January and no longer in November I cannot remember what brand they reminded me so strongly of…which is frustrating! There were different shades in different boxes, I happened to pick up a silver/gunmetal shade, there was also a taupe/cream version and a blue/bright blue version. I’d be interested to see if they’ve launched more colours since November (or what’s the plan for Spring/Summer!). I swatched these on the back of my hand with my finger and the pigmentation was good. Granted I haven’t tried applying them to my eyes with a sponge or a brush so I can’t tell you about how it works in real terms but they worked well on my finger!
At the launch there were 3 flavours of lipgloss: strawberry, peppermint and watermelon. I’m not really big on fruity or flavoured lip glosses so I didn’t try these anywhere except on a piece of paper. They’re all mostly sheer and the scent is fairly strong (in my opinion).
They also had these individual brushes in pink or black available for…strategic mini brush needs. Truthfully the brush is too small for my tastes but very portable (I’m just not a top-up my makeup kinda gal!) if you are one of those make-up touchup kinda people!
All in all I think it’s a strong start and I’m eager to see what comes next.
