So I’m using this as the featured “first image” of the post because it’s the one where you can actually see the subtle shimmer. We’re talking subtle. So subtle that I couldn’t see it on my own nails. Which was disappointing…but it didn’t make the colour any less lovely. This was the perfect shade for exactly what I needed it for, a job interview! It was such an annoying interview too, they wanted me to create a 10 minute presentation (I found out about the interview on Friday at 6pm and the interview was Monday at 9am) all about the company wikipedia and what I would do and how to keep it current…and so this was my professional manicure. I didn’t get the job because I didn’t have my presentation memorised. That was my feedback. They said they loved my presentation, that I made excellent points they are actually going to incorporate into their company’s structure…but the fact that I didn’t have it memorised (which was never part of the listed requirements) went against me. I didn’t hold my presentation in my hands and read from it, I referred to it from time to time and spoke as much from memory as possible. Grrr!! I’m just angry, what a stupid reason to give as feedback for not giving someone a job! I hate interviews sometimes!!!
But anyway, this shade was perfect for the interview. Demure, non-attention grabbing (unlike the neon orange of Illamasqua’s ‘Gamma’!) and just looked like a clean mannequin hands extension of my fingers. Definitely another one (like Ulta’s ‘Soho Pretty’) going on the interview shades list that exists in my head…but I’m really disappointed I couldn’t see the shimmer anywhere outside the bottle. Maybe if I lived in a sunnier climate??
