400 days! what an accomplishment! i’m still waiting on my parcel from the states (she used the slow shipping so it’s around 15 working days. sigh!) but there will be a giveaway..someday! hah anywayyy.
i’m slacking on the eyeko event and i promise to review it tomorrow. i couldn’t fall asleep until 5AM this morning so i’ve been a bit loopy all day! i thought instead i’d review this amazing polish that was gifted to me by the wonderful Oxford Jasmine (who is a super amazing and kind woman [not to mention really really pretty], and a makeup artist and totally helped me make sure i looked good in the face before the eyeko event!). this is my first experience with anything e.l.f although i’ve heard of them before. i had to do a bit of research on them to get started…because i didn’t even know where you could BUY their products, let alone the reason it is written out as “e.l.f” is because it stands for “eyes lips face” (who knew!?), but here is their website. they are a cruelty free brand and incredibly reasonable in price.
now. onto the product! firstly…i love the colour. e.l.f nail varnishes cost £1.50 and they apply like they cost £1.50. i wasn’t really that happy with the first coat or the second coat. they were quick to dry but the opacity wasn’t there. and i was a bit annoyed with the overly plastic bristles and that the bristles weren’t all one length. but all my complaints went away with the 3rd coat…which i always apply anyway. the 3rd coat was MAGIC with these nail polishes. it takes away all your opacity issues and you forget any problems you had. it looks perfect. it also is a nice “dupe” (i put dupe in quotation marks because it’s not really a dupe…it’s more in the same colour family) of rescue beauty lounge’s bruised, so if you like the colour and can’t afford the $18 price tag [like me!]..this is a nice, similar-ish alternative. i love the colour, so autumnal and just gorgeous. for the issues i might’ve had with the first two coats, they were completely gone by the 3rd coat and i’m nothing but impressed. this is definitely a brand catered toward my nonexistent budget!! i would definitely recommend checking them out. and the cruelty free bit is a huge bonus! AND they are big 3 free (but i’m not sure if they still include formaldehyde resin).

This looks lovely! I haven't tried any e.l.f. polishes yet, simply because I haven't seen them in stores yet – I'm watching, though!
My recent post OPI Simmer & Shimmer
I've never bothered with this brand since it's so cheap. Pretty shade on you. I'm still not going to bother with them. I hate those plastic bristles.
