day three hundred and seventy five, deep sea 2 baby blue

since it’s my birthday (26! i’m officially in my LATE twenties! gasp! faint! time to buy all the anti-aging creams on the market! ) i am not going to post any of the new collections i am due to post (but i am swatching them like a good little…nail polish soldier?? instead you get to see one of my dusty finds! this is another faux mood changer from dare2wear! this was a really cool colour (i really should stop saying that. maybe i’ll borrow an english phrasebook from the library and try and expand my vocabulary ([yes mum, all that money you spent on my english undergraduate degree was for naught!!!] because i swear i keep saying the same thing over and over!) i’m not even sure how to describe it. i feel like it’s one of the more accurate deep sea colours i’ve ever seen. because when you’re actually in the sea (okay…anyone who knows me needs to stop laughing…because i’m terrified of the ocean, and the swimming pool…and the bathtub…but i’ve seen on the TELEVISION..and on splash when daryl hannah is swimming her mermaid-self through the sea [because i'm sure she was really swimming in the ocean and not some tank inside a studio]) and when you’re in the water it doesn’t look as dark as it does off in the distance. up close it has a more …sheer vibe to it. it’s still beautiful and everything, but less inky…more transparent!

man. i sound like a moron. but i’m embracing it! this polish, like the princessa one has this yellow-y golden shimmer going on, but this is much lighter so it’s less “ooooh ahhhh weird! different!” and more “aww, pretty!” because it’s complimentary and less stark. doesn’t detract from it in any way! (yeah, i had bubbling on one finger…it was all my fault, i’m an imperfect person!)
